Trevor Vessels is President of Capital City Strategies, a public affairs firm headquartered in Ohio.
During the 2016 election cycle, Trevor managed the successful statewide campaign for Ohio Supreme Court Justice Pat Fischer in what was widely seen as Ohio’s most competitive statewide race. During this race Trevor guided Justice Fischer’s political, fundraising and media efforts, which resulted in a victory on Election Day. During the cycle Trevor also served as a media consultant for more than a dozen races in multiple states.
Trevor’s previous experience includes managing the Supreme Court race of Justice Judi French, and as a media consultant for races in Ohio and across the country. He also has led statewide public affairs and grass-tops campaigns for dozens of clients and organizations.
His other experience includes managing statewide outreach for the historic Issue 3 campaign in Ohio, which legalized casino gambling after several failed attempts. He also served three years at the Ohio Republican Party where he managed fundraising programs and worked as a regional political director.
Trevor began his career as a legislative aide to Congressman Pat Tiberi (OH) in Washington DC. During his four years with Congressman Tiberi, he specialized in tax, banking and commerce issues.
Trevor was appointed in 2014 by Governor Kasich to represent the public on the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Athletic Trainer Board. He also serves as a volunteer and supporter of the Central Ohio Alzheimer’s Association.
He and his wife Kate and their son Ben live in Dublin, Ohio.
